1. Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Lexdate mobile application and website (together, the "Service"), operated by Global Hostweb Technologics ("Lexdate", "we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the service
Lexdate is a practice management tool for advocates. It matches publicly available cause list data from the Allahabad High Court (Prayagraj and Lucknow benches) to your registered Advocate-on-Record (AOR) roll number, fetches and caches case status, orders and listing history from the relevant court's own systems, offers CNR-based lookup for the Supreme Court of India, and provides matter management, notifications and, on paid plans, a fee register and multi-user chamber collaboration.
3. Eligibility & registration
- You must be a practicing advocate (or authorized staff of a chamber) to register an AOR-linked account.
- Registration requires a valid email and mobile number, and your AOR roll number is checked against the relevant court's own live advocate directory before your account is created.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate registration information. Providing another advocate's AOR without authorization is a violation of these Terms.
4. Subscription plans & billing
Lexdate offers a Free plan and paid plans (Basic, Pro and Chamber), billed monthly or annually. Current pricing is shown on our Pricing page and may change from time to time; we will not change the price of an active subscription without notice. Chamber plan pricing scales with the number of AOR roll numbers registered under the chamber.
5. Auto-renewal & payment authorization
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled before the renewal date. Where you authorize a recurring payment method (including UPI Autopay) through Razorpay, you authorize us to charge that method for each renewal at the then-current price for your plan. You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from within the app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
6. Accuracy of court data
Court websites are occasionally slow, unavailable, or change their published format without notice, which can delay or interrupt data fetching. We work to keep cached data current but do not guarantee it is real-time or error-free.
7. Your responsibilities
- Use the Service only for lawful practice-management purposes.
- Do not attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the Service itself, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Do not use the Service to store or transmit unlawful content.
- Keep the information you enter about clients and matters accurate and appropriately confidential — Lexdate provides tools to organize your practice, but you remain responsible for your professional obligations to your clients.
8. Intellectual property
The Lexdate name, logo, app and website design, and underlying software are the property of Global Hostweb Technologics. You retain ownership of the matter, client and note data you enter. Publicly available court records remain the property of the respective courts and are not owned by Lexdate.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent payment activity, or misuses another advocate's AOR. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends; we handle any retained data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lexdate is not liable for any missed hearing, deadline, or professional consequence arising from reliance on cached, auto-matched, or auto-detected information without independent verification against the official court record. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Governing law & dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
